Waupaca County is a county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.
In the county, the population was spread out with 25.70% under the age of 18, 7.10% from 18 to 24, 27.80% from 25 to 44, 22.70% from 45 to 64, and 16.70% who were 65 years of age or older.
Waupaca County is home to two notoriously haunted places: the graveyard in Readfield, and Marsh Road near Weyauwega.

From mid-February 2002 until November 2002, two of the authors (Buchholz and Fountain) recovered specimens from a series of pegmatites exposed by road construction on County Highway G east of Big Falls, Waupaca County, Wisconsin.
The pegmatites are hosted by the Red River Granite unit of the Wolf River Batholith, a large composite anorogenic intrusion in northeast Wisconsin that encompasses a number of smaller intrusions, including the Wolf River, Red River, Waupaca, Belongia, and High Falls Granites, dikes of the Wiborgite Porphyry, and unnamed bodies of monzonite and anorthosite.
Euxenite-(Y), ranging in color from a dark yellow-green to pale yellow, is fairly common as small elongated crystals (to approximately 2 cm) embedded in feldspar and altered biotite.

The Sturgeon Trail is a one half mile fltop surface trail along the shoreline of the Wolf River between New London and Northport, adjacent to County Highway X. This site has been a favorite place for sturgeon to spawn and for people to get an up-close view of Wisconsin's oldest and largest fish.
A partnership for developing and financing the trail was formed in early 2001 by the Mukwa Wildlife Partnership.
Located west of New London on the north side of County Highway X. The trail is on the opposite side of County X from the Mukwa Wildlife Area.

Road construction over the past year along County Highway G east of Big Falls, Waupaca County, Wisconsin briefly exposed a series of small pegmatites hosted by the Red River Granite unit of the Wolf River Batholith.
The crystals, to 4 cm, are the largest reported so far from Wisconsin.
The only previous report of gadolinite-group minerals was of crystals in the 0.5 cm size range from a pegmatite near Tigerton, Wiscpnsin, (Cordua, 1998).
