 | | From mid-February 2002 until November 2002, two of the authors (Buchholz and Fountain) recovered specimens from a series of pegmatites exposed by road construction on County Highway G east of Big Falls, Waupaca County, Wisconsin. |
 | | The pegmatites are hosted by the Red River Granite unit of the Wolf River Batholith, a large composite anorogenic intrusion in northeast Wisconsin that encompasses a number of smaller intrusions, including the Wolf River, Red River, Waupaca, Belongia, and High Falls Granites, dikes of the Wiborgite Porphyry, and unnamed bodies of monzonite and anorthosite. |
 | | Euxenite-(Y), ranging in color from a dark yellow-green to pale yellow, is fairly common as small elongated crystals (to approximately 2 cm) embedded in feldspar and altered biotite. |
