		If you are a big yes fan and you want to own all their discography, buy it, if you don´t want to be disapointed of one of the best progressive bands in history, don´t even look at it.
		BIG GENERATOR is a great album, it's high benchmarks being 'Shoot High Aim Low'' and ''I'm Running'', its melding of 'classic' yes and 'new' Yes in Final Eyes, and Rabin's incredible knack for Pop in 'Love Will Find A Way' and 'Rhythm of Love'.
		Big Generator is up next with an intro of multipart jazz vocals that in no way will prepare you for the almost Robert Palmer grunge instrumental section and then just as unexpectantly launches the listener into a gentle, yet driving vocal and instrumental passage before dumping you into the grunge sound again.

		The reason alot of the big welders are DC only is because they have a generator head, not an alternator head that can be rectified into DC.
		Generators are constructed to run with an overlap and are normally wound to more "poles" than alternators.(this is the equivalent of 6 phase) The main advantage that generators have is in the ease of tailoring the feedback to produce the desired output.
		In a generator design, the welding current is carried by the armature (part that spins) so it has to have large copper windings to carry the current.

		My junior year in high school, I had a buddy who summed it up perfectly when he said listening to Yes' Big Generator album could be likened to a bad acid trip.
		The fact that Big Generator had the unenviable task of following up the multi-platinum selling 90125 album, a release in its own right that sounded nothing like the Yes your older brother grew up listening to, had to have weighed heavily on the band.
		Much like the acid trip my buddy referenced, Big Generator is an album that will put a listener through a bout of initial confusion, while finding moments of exhilaration backed by panic.

		The music had a strong presence and the sound was excellent.BIG Generator was done to perfection and Anderson, Squire and Rabin were at their best.
		Whatever they did with the opening to Rhythm of Love is anyone's guess; alot of keyboard stuff which made me forget I was at a Yes show (though I had heard a guitar chord in there which helped to locate me).
		This was a big revelation for me, and the reason I go on about it is that if you don't like the 90125/Big Gen albums and shows, don't blame Trevor Rabin exclusively, blame Kaye, who gets alot of undeserved credibility from his status as Yes's original keyboardist.
