London Records - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
London Records is a record label headquartered in the United Kingdom, originally marketing records in the United States, Canada and Latin America from 1947 through the 1980s.
London arose from the split in ownership between the British branch of Decca Records and that same company's USA branch; the "London" label released British Decca records in the USA, since it could not use the "Decca" name there.
In the sixties more licensing deals were made with Big Top Records, Monument Records, Philles Records and Hi Records.

When Great Big Sea set out to record their new album, their goal was to add new colours to their already diverse palette, and head in directions they had never traveled before.
Recording songs that have not yet been “road-tested” is just one of the new ideas Great Big Sea have brought to this record.
Having platinum records and playing to sold-out concerts around the world, the band felt that in order to grow musically the time had come to introduce new sounds into their repertoire.

Top Records   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-16)
I listened to this record (on repeat) during a desolate dusty drive from Tuscon to Phoenix, and the mariachi horns swelled as I passed the abandoned amusement park, the Morricone-styled strings emphasized the buttes and ridges, and the vocal laments about gated neighborhoods heralded my return to the Valley of the Sun.
I don't listen repeatedly to many records like I did this one; part of the delay in posting this top-10 list was that I lacked the language to describe this record, to suggest how minimal and personal it is without it seeming tiny, or trivial.
This record has an icy sheen and it drives to the rhythms of complicated machines that are operating at their full capacity.

How To Copy Vinyl Records To CD
Vinyl records must be as clean as possible so that surface dust does not build up on the stylus.
In such cases, it is best to record at a lower level and then to digitally adjust the level after recording.
Once you have recorded all the required tracks from an LP and removed any clicks, pops, scratches or whatever, it is a straightforward task to write the tracks onto a blank CD using your CD writing software.

Evan Johns may be the true originator of all things "psychobilly," but he is more than that, an effortless songwriter and earnest singer, a beloved anachronism to be cherished as much now as when he blazed across the "new wave" era into the 90's.
Sidelined briefly by cataracts in the late 90's, Evan Johns continued to write and record, releasing a live album in 1995 and eventually meeting up with LA instrumental band Hillbilly Soul Surfers.
