YouTube - Bigsby Vibrato Installation - B700 Epiphone
Makes me wanna put a b-700 on mine...already got a "v-cut" gretsch bigsby on it, but I left the stopbar using it all "roller bar"...works pretty well, but you should really get locking tuners because it'll throw outta tune no doubt.
If you don't like the Bigsby being anchored to the back of your guitar, like this one, a Bigsby B5 might be a solution (normally found op Fender Telecasters and sometimes a SG).
Bigsby afficionado, Adam Seutter, walks the viewer step by step through the installation process of the Bigsby B700 Vibrato kit on an Epiphone Studio model guitar in this detailed video.

Vintage Guitar® magazine : Brand Pages
While Paul Bigsby (1899-1968), Merle Travis, and Leo Fender are no longer with us to tell their stories, it seems more than a bit of coincidence that the Fender Broadcaster solidbody, with six tuners in a line on the peghead, came out soon after Merle got his Bigsby solidbody.
Bigsby was a guitar builder in the truest sense of the term.
Paul Bigsby made his own pickups, bridges, and vibrato tailpieces such that virtually the only outsourced components on a Bigsby guitar are the tuners and tone and volume pots.

  Bigsby Information
The arm of the Bigsby is spring loaded and attached to a pivoting metal bar, around which the strings of the guitar are installed.
Bigsby vibratos have been factory installed on various models of electric guitar, such as those manufactured by Gretsch, and a version of the Fender Telecaster.
Bigsby units ship with their own rocker bridges, though these are often discarded in favor of more adjustable alternatives such as the Tune-o-matic style bridge or Jazzmaster style bridge.

 BIGSBY® GUITARS & VIBRATOS - OFFICIAL WEBSITE
In the 1940s, Paul Adelburt Bigsby was a skilled foreman at a machine shop in Los Angeles owned by Albert Crocker of the famous Crocker Motorcycle Company.
During this same time, Merle brought his Gibson L-10 guitar to P.A., as Bigsby was called, with a worn out Kaufman vibrato that wouldn't stay in tune.
Because Bigsby's instruments were built on a custom basis, he could not keep up with the orders that poured in, and a waiting list of two or more years followed.

Musurgia - Fine, Rare & Peculiar Musical Instruments
His importance to the technical evolution of the instrument and his involvement with Paul Bigsby is less well known, but it was Murphy who first encouraged his motorcycle designer friend to build guitars.
Travis asked Bigsby if he could construct an electric solid-bodied Spanish guitar with no hollow sound chamber so it would “sustain like a steel.” Bigsby, saying offhand he could build anything, applied the steel guitar's solid neck-through construction to a Spanish style instrument sketched by Travis on a loose sheet of paper.
Paul A. Bigsby is now recognised as the father of the modern pedal steel, and this long-lost instrument was the first step in its creation.

The Analects - Becca Bigsby   (Site not responding. Last check: )
Bigsby’s essay deals with the question of why Confucius himself did not define “ren”.
The greatest technical problem with Bigsby’s essay is that, in step three, she reverts to attacking her thesis and the conclusion of step two directly rather than attacking a premise of the argument in step two.
Instead of setting up the issue as a question of whether or not “Confucius was certain of all the appropriate aspects a ren person should embody” a more plausible argument could be made on the similar, but more generalized issue of whether “ren” is a goal to be pursued or an inherent condition.

The Selmer Bigsby Vibrato Unit - Fact File
Selmer offered the option of a Bigsby Vibrato Unit on all their Hofner archtops from about 1961 onwards, although some of their Hofner solid guitars, such as the first version of the V-Solids, had been supplied to special order with a Bigsby fitted maybe prior to 1961.
The Selmer Licence-Built Bigsby Units would appear to differ from the US Bigsby units in that they have the string retainer pins fastened to the main spindle by means of screws.
Presumably Selmer, having acquired the licence for the Bigsby unit, wanted to move as many UK made vibratos as possible and, as Hofner were their main supplier of guitars, then Hofner had to fall into line.

I hear retrofitting the bigsby to gibson style guitars is a lot easier than fenders, as you don't have to worry about the neck angle as much.
That said, aftermarket bigsbys can look kind of funny on former stop tailpiece guitars, as the bigsby doesn't cover up the tailpiece studs.
