Bihor (IPA: [bi.'hor]), in Hungarian: Bihar (IPA: [bi.'har]), is a county (judeţ) of Romania, in Crişana, with capital city at Oradea.
Sălaj County, Cluj County and Alba County in the East.
The county is mainly the Criş hydrographic basine with the rivers Crişul Repede, Crişul Negru and Barcău the main rivers.

he Bihor County 's first Mount Rescue Team was founded in 1982 in Stei town (former Dr. Petru Groza) by the Local Popular Council, based on HGM 190/1969.
Both formations were born as a result of the increasing number of tourists from the county's mountain area, of mountaineers and speleologists (explorers or sportspeople), which determined the frequency of the accidents on this mountain area.
An agreement has been signed between Bihor County Council and Bihor Mountain Rescue Association, by which all the mountain rescue activities would go on under the coordination of ASM Bihor, being partially financed by the Bihor County Council.

Avram Iancu is a fairly large commune (1865 inhabitants according to 2002 census) in Bihor county, in the western part of Transylvania, Romania.
Geographicaly, it is situated at the border of Bihor County with Arad County, and Hungary, at the exact same distance (60km) from the capital cities of the two counties, Oradea and Arad.
