Bill's favourite band (I believe) is the Carpenters (for those of you who are not familiar with their stuff, they sing that "why do birds suddenly appear every time you are near..." song) He is also into Guided By Voices and some of that Matador Records Lo-Fi indie rock.
Bill has done some solo stuff (which I was fortunate enough to see) He played solo at Holy Joe's in Toronto in early June of 1998, where he had a bunch of strange cute songs.
Bill is a quiet guy so if you feel he is ignoring you keep in mind that’s the way he is...

Priddle said "American Psycho" was the unanimous choice for the band's first single and video.
Priddle was the frontman for the majority of the band's previous forays, but Nori stakes his own claim on Wide Awake Bored, taking the lead on seven of the CD's 11 tracks.

Nori and Priddle left the Sault with Treble Charger in the early 80s but now say they might not have to leave so early in their musical careers if they were starting out today.
Priddle and Nori were recognized along with fellow former Saultite and Treble Charger member Rob "Rosie" Martin.
Priddle's now pursuing a solo career, while Nori manages Sum 41, fronted by Deryck Whibley, who together with his recently wedded bride Avril Lavigne is in the headlines today for horking loogies at the Hollywood paparazzi.

Priddle is quick to mention it is "always fun to open for bands you like." And having bands like Bionic and By Divine Right open for them also pumps them up, making the band's own gigs better.
No one was hurt and the equipment was fine but the memory is still clear in Priddle's mind.
There are always problems involved when the band is on the road or working with big labels or talking to the media, but Treble Charger does seem to have one definite goal.

And the truth is, none of those studios are really any better than what you could find here.
But for his part, Priddle still writes songs that maintain a tenuous link to the band's junior-Dinosaur origins.

Case in point: The elusive Gord Downie of Tragically Hip Fame performing a John Lennon cover and then showcasing a tribute to Sarah Harmer’s “Hideout” was a fantastic opener for the show.

Perhaps its Treble Charger’s age and experience (the band has been putting out albums since the mid 1990s) that accounts for its dynamic ability to sound current without having to resort to musical thievery.
This whip-smart four-piece clearly has a soft-spot for bands like Hüsker Dü and Superchunk and vocalist/guitarists Greig Nori and Bill Priddle aren’t afraid to wear their hearts on their sleeves.
The duo are, in fact, Treble Charger’s greatest asset, providing an abundance of thick, slashing guitar chords and strong, melodic vocals.

Kevin Drew often doubled J's vocals but only occasionally took lead and if he never strapped the guitar on at all, you wouldn't have noticed.
Also onstage were Brendan Canning on bass and Bill Priddle on guitar and two drummers - BSS's Justin Peroff and Mascis' Fog bandmate George Berz.
Rather than take the dueling percussionist route, Peroff and Berz played pretty much the same thing beat for beat - probably unnecessary but they were so tight that it became that much more impactful.

Vocalist/guitarist Greg Nori produces and manages the far more successful -- at least in terms of money and popularity -- Sum 41.
So maybe, after the failure of Treble Charger's 2000 single "American Psycho" (from Wide Awake Bored) to garner the anticipated US airplay, Nori, Bill Priddle, et al decided to follow Sum 41's lead and tailor their sound to accommodate the lucrative commercial market just beyond their southern border.
Whatever the reason, the change has stunted any creative growth Treble Charger might have had, resulting in a bland, woefully unoriginal album that ought to be consigned to the cookie-cutter heap.
