IN THE MIDDLE of a raging controversy over the hazards posed by huge billboards in Metro Manila, a man was killed when a giant ad on top of a building fell on his vehicle in Makati yesterday.
The billboard, one of several that were toppled by strong winds wrought by typhoon “Milenyo” which hit Metro Manila, struck a delivery vehicle, a car and a passenger bus when it fell at around 12:30 p.m., near Estrella Street, on the northbound side of Edsa.
Fernando estimated that the billboard that collapsed was around 12 meters high and 30 meters wide.
