BioShock   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-09-26)
The premise of BioShock is that a small sect of humans sought to create a utopia, so to get away from any and all outside influences, they setup camp in an underwater "station" of sorts.
In addition, the fear in BioShock won't always come from funhouse-like doors popping open with bogey men (although there will be a few instances of that), but from gamers deciding for themselves just how much of their own "humanity" they're willing to sacrifice when augmenting their bodies in an attempt to survive.
BioShock isn't scheduled to release until 2007, but when it hits, it's bound to take Xbox 360 owners and PC gamers into a whole new world.

Powered by a heavily modified version of the Unreal 3 Engine, BioShock is a horror game with first-person elements that takes place in the utopian city of Rapture, a city lying at the bottom of the ocean.
Ken explains that he doesn't simply mean this in a graphical sense (or in terms of ad hoc physics changes, courtesy of the Havok 3.0 engine), but changes on a much larger scale - in terms of being able to change the air that the inhabitants breathe, and consequently, their very behavior.
One of the reasons may be that in order to reach the state of utopia, a truly unattainable goal, one must justify the end as one sees it, by reaching for some terrible means.
