Pandit Birbal Dhar and his son, Raja Kak, were marching towards their destination carefully after surmounting many hurdles in the way.
Pandit Birbal accepted all the conditions and kept his son in the Lahore court as a pawn.

Birbal Dhar accompanied by his son, Raj Kak Dhar, stealthily left Kashmir for Lahore to pray to Maharaja Ranjit Singh to send his army for taking over Kashmir so that the Kashmiris groaning under the Afgan yoke could find deliverance.
Birbal Dhar's son-in-law, Telak Chand Munshi, fearing death penalty, provided clue about the noble ladies and they were summoned before Sirdar.
Birbal Dhar then gave an undertaking that in case of failure he would pay for the loss incurred and left his son Raj Kak Dhar in the Lahore Darbar as a hostage in case the campaign petered out.

His grandfather, Pandit Taba Kaul, too was a reputed scholar, having family ties with the famous Pandit Birbal Dhar who persuaded Ranjit Singh to free Kashmir from the tyranny of Afghan rule.
G.K. and Birbal Dhar's grandson Ramjoo Dhar, maintained the ties as friends.
To keep the record of history straight, it must be stated that G.K. and Ramjoo Dhar learnt English much before Pandit Anand Kaul and Pandit Shiv Ram Bhan.

Birbal Singh of the Rimrose English School, Imphal, defeated Durlov Nanda of Edith Douglas School, Jorhat in Sicilian Taimanov.
Though both Trailokya and Birbal collected seven and a half points each, on the progressive score tie-break Trailo- kya finished third and Birbal fourth.

new delhi: A post-mortem will be conducted on the body of Birbal Lakra, who was found dead inside the Jawahar Lal Nehru University campus, at Safdarganj Hospital on Saturday, reports our special correspondent.

The Jama Masjid in Srinagar was shut down and the aazaan was forbidden.
One over enthusiastic Sikh Commander namely Phula Sing, actually trained his guns on the mosque of revered Shah Hamadan; he wanted to blow it up on the plea that it was contructed forcibly on a famed Hindu Shrine.It was oly the last minute intervention of Pandit Birbal Dhar which prevented the outrage.
Numeerrous mosques were seized by the state;cow slaughter was made a crime punishable by death; and for good measure,a number of butchers were publicly hanged to display the intent.
