		West Yorkshire is a metropolitan county in England, corresponding roughly to the core of the West Riding of the traditional county of Yorkshire.
		It borders on Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Derbyshire, North Yorkshire and South Yorkshire.
		There are currently plans for a tram system in West Yorkshire, but those for a Leeds Supertram were rejected by the government in 2005.

		In 1981 I moved into west Yorkshire, on what I thought was a temporary basis, whilst I attended Huddersfield Polytechnic, as part of my professional training.
		When my course finished in 1983 I returned to Middlesbrough but within a matter of months it was clear my marriage had failed and I was divorced in February 1984.
		I had rented accommodation in Heckmondwike but within a short while Matthew came to live me. The rented house was too small and we moved into a council flat in Cleckheaton.
