Enjoy a day of non stop music, fun and dancing in spirit of the Caribbean at the Birmingham Carnival.
Celebrating the multi cultural roots of the city, the Carnival is huge celebration and a massively vibrant event to which all are welcome.
Held on Sunday 5 August, 2007, the vibrant procession led by the new Carnival Queen starts at 12.30 from Oxhill Road, Handsworth and ends up at Perry Park at approx 3.30pm then the celebrations last until 9.00pm.

A large ethnic community and one of the largest Sikh temples in the city can now be found in Handsworth - in the evening the temple is lit up with neon decorations splitting the night.
Popular with lots of different cultures and peoples during the evening, there was hope and some talk of the council spending a little cash to renovate and beautify these areas - this hasn't happened as yet, though.
