FLINT - Passenger volume at Bishop International Airport is up nearly 34 percent through May over the same five-month period a year ago.
In all, 47,044 passengers boarded flights at Bishop in May, up 30.4 percent from a 36,078 who flew out of the Flint airport during the same month in 2003, which was a record year for Bishop.
Bishop Airport is expanding its passenger terminal, building additional parking lots and plans to build two additional luggage carousels to handle all this growth.

Apparently there was no reason whatsoever for the delay other than the fact that they wanted to use a plane that was up in Traverse City, so they had to wait three hours for it.
Somewhere the luggage is sitting, likely at Bishop International Airport but the rejects working there appear to have misplaced it somewhere, instead citing there was NO luggage on board, even though I watched them unload it for TEN MINUTES!
I'd like to blame Northwest for the problem but that wouldn't be right since airports are not owned by any one in particular.
