He was a retainer of the Mori clan and the lord of the Bitchu Takamatsu Castle.
The Shimizu clan was a retainer of one of the powerful clans in Bitchu Province.
Muneharu became the lord of the Bitchu Takamatsu Castle after he captured it in 1565.

For me it is this kind of item that makes Nihonto photography a pleasure, given its interesting horimono and (to understate) its robust dimensions.

Your first night's campsite will most likely be one of the many islands toward the north central section of the lake before you head up into some of the more remote areas of the Park.
From Bitchu you will want to look toward the northwest part of the lake where the portage into Ross is located.
To take it easier on yourself, paddle the creek that is west of the portage.
