Agnetha Fältskog - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Agnetha Åse Fältskog (born April 5, 1950 in Jönköping, Sweden) is best known as "the blonde singer in ABBA", one of the four members of the pop group ABBA, along with Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.
At 15, she joined a dance band and wrote a song for the band which then she had her first number one hit in 1967 with a song called Jag Var Så Kär, the song she wrote all by herself.
On July 6, 1971, Agnetha married Björn Ulvaeus; the marriage resulted in two children, Linda and Christian.

Faltskog's homeland success continued throughout the rest of the '60s, but her future with ABBA was secured when she met and became engaged to Bj÷rn Ulvaeus in 1969.
The two were married in 1971, but Faltskog continued to record and perform as a solo artist, although she was singing backup, along with Anna-Frid Lyngstad, on Ulvaeus' and songwriting partner Benny Anderssen's recordings.
During what was intended to be a mere break for the band in 1983, she began to record her solo, English debut with producer Mike Chapman.

The group was formed around 1970 by Bjrn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, Agnetha Fltskog, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad (nicknamed "Frida").
At the same time, Bjrn Ulvaeus fronted a skiffle group, the Hootenanny Singers, with an altogether softer and more easy-listening sound than the Hep Stars.

The title of the show itself is Italian, not to say that certain characters and situations resemble those in Tennessee Williams' "The Rose Tattoo." So we tell ourselves this must be the Latin Quarters of New South Wales.
As it's based on the songs of the Swedish band Abba, the rhythm, timbre and sentiments of the songs unavoidably add a Northwestern European inflection to the compound.
As Ulvaeus said at one time, "This is the musical we never knew we had written."

 Mamma Mia! Reviews & Articles
The songs, written by Benny Andersson and Bj?rn Ulvaeus with some help from Stig Anderson, are almost all so familiar ("Dancing Queen," "Chiquitita," "Money, Money, Money," the title song, etc.) that you probably know most (if not all) of them already.
Granted, author Catherine Johnson faced a daunting task in weaving 22 tunes written by former ABBA members Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson for various albums into a cohesive story, without altering their lyrics substantially.
Johnson's basic premise is clever: Donna, a single mom who runs a taverna on a Greek island, is preparing for the wedding of her daughter, Sophie, who has secretly invited three of her mother's former beaus -- each of whom may be Sophie's dad.

New Books: Cadillac Madness & Benny's Road to ABBA
Author Carl Magnus Palm describes how a fresh-faced teenager became one of Sweden's most celebrated pop stars, the life-changing discovery of his songwriting talent, the chaotic Hep Stars tours, and the inevitable crash after the mismanagement of the group's finances.
Along the way, Benny met up with Bj"rn Ulvaeus, forging a partnership that continues to this day - the book vividly relates the events that led up to the formation of ABBA.
Benny's story is told by the superstar himself, in an interview made especially for this project, and by eyewitnesses such as his fellow Hep Stars members and the group's many associates.
