The Black Drongo is a common resident breeder in much of tropical southern Asia from southwest Iran through India and Sri Lanka east to southern China and Indonesia.
The adult Black Drongo is mainly glossy blue-fl, although the wings are duller.

Taking the fl object is difficult to focus, but you controlled it very well.
The only complaint I have is related to the halo's on the birds outline (the upper ones could be explained by light from behind - but the lower ones seem to indicate a too large USM radius).
"Black" birds are difficult and this one looks spot on, lovely crisp detail and a great pose.

Black Bittern (Dupetor flavicollis) Both sightings were from Keoladeo Ghana National Park, a female was seen near the Keoladeo Temple on 25/11, and excellent views were had of a male from the main track on the 30/11.
Black Necked Stork (Ephippiorhynchus asiaticus) All but one of the records of this stunning bird were from Keoladeo Ghana National Park, with a single on 23/11, five on 24/11, 2 on 25/11 & 6+ on 30/11.

We were picked up at 5.00am and the journey to backwoods took just under 2 hrs, as we neared the camp we got off the bus and walked the last half a mile to the camp so as to do some birding.
After breakfast we headed to the fields on the edge of the camp to look for raptors, Black Eagle, Shikra, and Oriental Honey-Buzzard were the only raptors seen but we had some excellent views of Indian Swiftlet, White-Rumped Needletail, Brown-Backed Needletail, House Swift and Crested Treeswift.
As the boat entered through the canels and tributaries Black Capped, Stork Billed, White Throated and pied kingfisher where all seen then the target bird was seen a Collard Kingfisher perched on a dead tree in the river.

Accommodation: The River Island Camp in the reserve, however just before we arrived at Dibru-Saikhowa the separatists had attacked a military camp in the neighbourhood and the police did not permit that foreigners would camp in the reserve.

The bunch of emerald cuckoos cavorting in the middle of the Khari campsite was as stunning as it was unexpected.
The Crow-billed drongo, also seen close to the campsite was as welcome but not unexpected (a few dozen drongos had to be checked before lady luck smiled).

We are sure to see many more species.

Also got 2 more birds which I did not have pictures of Bank Myna and Pied Crested Cuckoo.

Up at 05.30 hoping to get another glimpse of the pitta.
