		(Guelph, Ontario) On November 18, 2002, at 4:00 pm, on Eastview Road and Glenburnie Drive, a 12 year old girl was walking along the sidewalk when a male driving a fl Jeep pulled up beside her and asked her twice if she wanted a ride.
		(Guelph, Ontario) On June 16, 2002, at approximately 9:55 pm, a woman was walking to her car in the area of Paisley Street and Norfolk Street.

		In the case of a nonrotating fl hole the work done by the tidal force increases both the hole's mass (total energy) and surface area (entropy); this occurs in spite of the fact that no matter ever crosses the hole's event horizon.
		The situation for a rotating fl hole is more complicated: While the surface area always increases, the angular momentum may increase or decrease depending on the sign of the applied tidal torque, and the mass may also increase or decrease in accordance with the first law of fl-hole mechanics.
