This is were my interest in toy knights originated with these lead figures made by Timpo and inspired by the 1953 MGM Film.
The knights are detachable from their horse, have visors on their helmets which go up and down, their lances and shields are also detachable.
Its not surprising that the later knights were sent out with plastic lances in fl, orange, green, red and some of the very late coloured lances were also silvered.

Sir Lancelot first appears in Arthurian legend in 'Le Chevalier de la Charrette', one of a set of five Arthurian romances written by the French poet Chrétien de Troyes (completed by Godefroy de Lagny) as a large collection of verses, c.1180 to 1240.
Because the knight is often red-eyed from sadness, Galehaut discovers the secret of his love for Arthur's queen, and out of friendship for the (still un-named) knight he arranges a meeting between him and Guinevere.

 Lady of the Lake (Camelot, Arthurian Legend)
In some versions of the Arthurian legends, particularly the Vulgate, there were two separate women/goddesses: Niamh and Vivienne, both of whom also received the name Nimue, who is the Lady of the Lake.
The version in the Knights of Pendragon is different as well, but she may have been temporarily afflicted by the curse of the Bane...or perhaps that is her true form in the modern era, and she magically cloaks herself in a form more aesthetically pleasing.
However, the Pendragon were good spirits, formerly tied to many of the Knights of the Round Table, which appeared as needed to fight the darker forces of the world.

The greatest value "Pendragon" has is to provide an understandable view of the world of Arthurian legend, with mechanics and guidelines to create your own points of entry.
