	Black Lightning - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Black Lightning (Jefferson Pierce) is a DC Comics superhero, the publisher's first African American hero to star in his own title.
		Black Lightning was a short-lived series and since then the character has been a frequent guest star in other DC series and a member of the Batman-lead superhero group the Outsiders, of which his daughter, Anissa, aka Thunder, is currently a member.
		Black Lightning made a number of guest appearances in various titles over the next few years, including a string of issues of World's Finest written by O'Neil, and, notably, a two-part story in Justice League of America in which the League invited him to join, but he turned them down.

	Black Vulcan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Black Vulcan is a fictional African American superhero on the animated series Super Friends created by Hanna-Barbera.
		However, Black Lightning could not be used in the show due to disputes between DC Comics and Tony Isabella, the creator of the character.
		His origin and background are very similar to the character he is based on, and some fans speculate if he and Black Lightning are actually one and the same, albeit at different periods in his life.
