In theoretical economics, a free market is a controversial model of an idealized economy, wherein exchanges are "free" from coercion and control except for guardianship which allows for private property ownership in land, natural resources, and the broadcast spectrum, as well as intellectual property and corporations.
In political rhetoric, the "free market" is a term which asserts that market concepts represent an undesirable compromise with the command economy model —ie a government that engages in little or no interventionist economic regulation.
The consensus among economic historians is that the free market economy is a specific historic phenomenon, and that it emerged in late mediaeval and early-modern Europe.

Right off the bat they were pegged as a bratty, decadent band, due in large part to a lipstick-wearing, pixie-boy of a front man who just couldn't stop talking about his dick and his drug habit in the press.
Mostly, though, Music is an album about mulling over big regrets, making amends, and struggling to compromise a newfound responsibility with the same old temptations.
Black Market Music has a few missteps, notably "Blue American", which inspires some cringe-worthy moments lyrically - a shame, as the piano is a classy touch; and "Spite and Malice", featuring rapper Justin Warfield.

While Placebo's latest, Black Market Music, doesn't have any single track as galvanizing as "Pure Morning," Molko, Swedish bassist Stefan Olsdal, and English drummer Steve Hewitt have again crafted a hip-hop-laced collection of hard-driving rock that effectively mixes clever wordplay with solid musicianship.

This alterna-angst reaches its apex on "Black Eyed", a slithering rocker in which Molko sings "I was forever fl eyed, a product of a broken home." I can think of no clearer expression of Placebo's real agenda behind all of the makeup -- Molko is sad and he is screaming about it.

Placebo has always been good at two things: (1) making music energetic enough to make you want to drive five times faster than the speed limit, and (2) making music depressing enough to make you question your own reasons for existence.
Either way, the songs are always consistently Placebo, and Black Market Music stays faithful to this.
