		It was the defining failure of John Major's government; it was a huge boost to Euro-scepticism; it made currency traders like George Soros rich.
		At the time, it seemed that after Black Wednesday, Britain was sailing into the unknown.

		Black Wednesday, 16 September 1992, was the day Britain crashed out of the ERM - a system for tying the pound and other currencies' values to that of the German mark, and was a precursor to the creation of the single European currency.

	Cisco, ISS File Injunction to Gag Researcher, Black Hat (Site not responding. Last check: )
		The two companies jointly filed an injunction and temporary restraining order Wednesday against researcher Michael Lynn and the Black Hat Briefings Conference, demanding that Lynn and Black Hat Inc. stop disseminating information on security holes in IOS (Internetwork Operating System) that Cisco Systems Inc. alleges was illegally obtained.
		A Black Hat spokesperson said she was not aware that the companies had taken legal action.
		On Wednesday, Black Hat organizers announced that a planned talk on the IOS hole would be cancelled, prompting Lynn to resign his position at ISS (Internet Security Systems Inc.) and give the talk anyway, to a packed audience of security experts and hackers.

		That's my point, people have suddenly appropriated the term to apply to the Wednesday before Thanksgiving now.
		I think that term is new this year...we always used to call it "the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving." Too long, I guess.
