The Blackfeet Indian Reservation or Blackfeet Nation is an Indian reservation of the Blackfeet tribe in Montana in the United States.
The eastern part of the reservation is mostly open hills of grassland while a narrow strip along the western edge is covered by forests of fir and spruce.
The major income source of the reservation is oil and natural gas leases on the oil fields on tribal lands.

The Piegan Blackfeet (Pikuni in Blackfoot) are a tribe of Blackfoot Native Americans based in Montana.
The population was at times dramatically lower when the Blackfeet people suffered instances of disease, starvation, and war, such as the starvation year of 1882 when the last buffalo hunt failed or the smallpox epidemic of 1837 which killed 6,000.
They had held large portions of Alberta and Montana, though today the Blackfeet Reservation is the size of Delaware, and the three Blackfoot reserves in Alberta have a much smaller area.

The jurisdiction of the Blackfeet Tribe shall extend to the territory within the confines of the Blackfeet Reservation boundaries as defined in the agreement of September 26, 1895; and to such other lands as may be hereafter added thereto under any law of the United States, except as otherwise provided by law.
Future Powers - The council of the Blackfeet Reservation may exercise further powers as may in the future be delegated to the council by the members of the tribe or the Secretary of the Interior or by any other duly authorized official or agency of the state or federal government.
Upon the death of any Indian holding a "standard" assignment, his heirs or other individuals designated by him by will or by written request, shall have a preference in the reassignment of the land, provided such persons are members of the Blackfeet Tribe who would be eligible to receive a "standard" assignment.

Groups included the Crow in the south-central area, the Cheyenne in the southeast, the Blackfeet, Assiniboine and Gros Ventres in the central and north-central area and the Kootenai and Salish in the west.
Despite its sizable American Indian population, Montana is one of the most homogenous states— nearly 90% of its residents are of European descent, with a large number of immigrants of German, Irish, Norwegian, Welsh, Cornish, Italian, Slovak and Swedish heritage arriving in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Individuals working in the Blackfeet Family Court as staff must be trained in the operations of the court and child welfare systems, and in the nature of child abuse and neglect.
There is hereby established for the Blackfeet Tribe of the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, a court to be known as the Family Court.
