  Montana DEQ Big Blackfoot Mining District
The mining district is primarily the central drainage basin of the Big Blackfoot with the primary lode mining in an area of about 36 square miles east of Helmville between Nevada Creek and the Little Blackfoot.
Nearly all of the mining in the district was confined to placers prior to 1890.
The quartz veins in the district are related to a Tertiary quartz monzonite stock in the center of the district.

25, 2004 BLACKFOOT - Blackfoot School District officials told a group of parents Monday night that they will provide cultural diversity training for employees, talk to students and write a letter of apology after parents expressed concern that their children were not allowed to speak Spanish on the playground or outside of class at school.
Recently, however, Ramirez was told by her daughter that she had been reprimanded for speaking Spanish in the lunchroom with a friend.
District officials also agreed to offer diversity training to employees, something Hispanic advocate Andy Guerra said he would help them do through his business, People 2 Gente.
