Blacklick Creek is a tributary of the Conemaugh River, approximately 30 mi (48 km) long, in western Pennsylvania in the United States.
The branches meet at Rexis, near the boundary between Cambria and Indiana counties.
The main branch flows west, receiving Two Lick Creek near Josephine, approximately 10 mi (16 km) SSW of Indiana, then WSW to join the Conemaugh approximately 3 mi (5 km) WNW of Blairsville.

Upland villages are located on hilltops (n=2) and saddles (n=1) and are in the upland section of the watershed between the Conemaugh River and Blacklick Creek.
Paper presented in the Pennsylvania Archaeological Council Symposium on the Late Woodland Period in Pennsylvania at the Spring 1998 Meeting of the Pennsylvania Archaeological Council, New Cumberland.
The project is in the Blacklick drainage and consists of a twelve to fifteen meter wide right-of-way covering a distance of 14.8 miles.

The central and eastern portion of the watershed is notable for the appearance of the first and second of a series of north-south oriented parallel ridges, which mark the beginning of the Allegheny Mountain section.
At the conclusion of the Crooked Creek study, Neusius and Watson (1991) concluded that although the results of the study were not conclusive, additional testing was needed to determine if it would provide a low cost systematic approach to the investigation of upland areas.

Blacklick Township is the rural area north of the boroughs of Nanty Glo and Vintondale, comprising the area of Cambria County west of Cambria Township to the Indiana County line.
Presumably named for the Blacklick Creek which is its main waterway, the township is bisected by US Highway 422, which connects US 22 at Ebensburg to Indiana, Pa., and goes on through Kittanning, Butler, and New Castle into Ohio at Youngstown.
Blacklick Township and the boroughs of Vintondale and Nanty Glo jointly comprise the Blacklick Valley School District.

In 1955, the highway was widened from Creek Road to Behm Road.
In 1959, the designation was moved off West Pennsylvania Avenue and East Pennsylvania Avenue in New Stanton between there and the PA Turnpike onto the expressway due to the completion of then I-70S/Alternate PA 71.
The project was to be finished by October 2000; however, the Pennsylvania weather did not agree to that timetable.

The discharge from the abandoned Webster Mine has been one of the largest contributors of pollution in the Blacklick Creek Watershed, pouring an average of 450 gallons per minute of highly acidic, metal- and sulfur-laden water into Pergrin Run, which is a tributary of the South Branch Blacklick Creek.
The treated water entering Pergrin Run at its confluence with the South Branch Blacklick Creek is pH neutral, which supports aquatic life and helps to raise the overall pH of the stream, which is badly degraded from several other major discharges that have yet to be treated.
The large Bethlehem Mine 31 coal refuse pile at the confluence of Pergrin Run and South Branch Blacklick Creek is also slated to be processed as cogeneration fuel.
