Blackout Comcis was a small indenpent company that was located here where I grew up, and got in touch with them through a mutual friend.
Blackout wanted an image and commissioned a couple of artist to do their image.
I will say that out of all the Blackout charcaters, this one had the most depth when it came to the personality and the world that Baron was creating.

Now, I don't get into comics, and I had never heard of the character called the Mandarin, but I pretty much assumed that this guy was Asian.
I believe this comic is created by a young teenager, and it has a strong following.
I've mentioned several times already that I don't get to read comics, but I have seen the X-Men cartoon show and it never alluded to the fact that Jubilee was Asian American.

Lateness crosses over every type of comic, every genre and publisher, even barring the presence of advance solicitations to blow, even when ‘late’ loses its effectiveness as a descriptive term for lack of any deadline to defy.
But many of today’s readers of these sorts of comics (at least in the US) have not had so much exclusive exposure to the former certainties of monthly serialization; a ‘wait and see’ attitude has prevailed.
There’s been more of an acknowledgement in recent years that maybe good comics need a bit longer than a month to produce.

Will Eisner, a living legend in the Sequential Art field (as coined by Will.) was the head instructor, and a major opportunity presented itself to have your work crtiqued by a person that pretty much knew story telling inside and out.
It is a humbling thing to be a punk 20 year old, who thinks he's ready to take on the comic world, and have your page that you spent ten hours on developing, taken apart bit by bit by Eisner, and have him reconstruct it in a matter of seconds.
Just a simple thing as page layout, choice of angles, visual story telling, and his page, that took a maximum of fifiteen seconds to look and draw, was unbelievably better.

My advice to small comic publishers is to branch out and search out work beyond the comic book industry to keep your people busy and the capital flowing.
Kaso Comics is currently doing illustration and commission work outside of the comic book world and we have high hopes for 2001.
In 1997 Kaso Comics made its debute at New York City comic book conventions with the release of The Indestructible Man two part miniseries, the brainchild of inker turned publisher Anthony Cacioppo.

London Night Studios was the first that I workd exclusively in Black and White printed work, and in what can be considered, R-rated comic work.
The typical Image Comics designs, and should have pushed for something really different.
The next images were the start of the final three issue arc that actually had a story behind it.

Instead of pulling the standard "Spider-Man is just as bad as the crooks, we must arrest him!" line, the cops actually treat him like a human being and even offer him some donuts.
Before he can break bread with New York's finest, however, a report of the flout comes over the police scanner and Spidey swings off to investigate.
