  Blazing Saddles
Blazing Saddles includes Nightscape Familiar to mitigate these situations even further (not to mention blocking Blastoderms while he's at it!), and while the Familiar only reduces the cost of red and blue spells, this isn't a particularly limiting factor, as the majority of creatures you want to play are red to begin with.
The reason Blazing Saddles is effective where Machine Head is not is because the former seizes tempo with mana acceleration, as outlined above, and refuses to relinquish it, maintaining pressure with haste creatures and removal.
The deck's namesake, Blazing Specter, is an extremely powerful creature, providing a source of both damage and disruption, forcing an opponent to remove it quickly or find their hand stripped of valuable resources and their life total dropping at an unhealthy clip.

Blazing Saddles is a Warner Bros. 1974 comedy directed by Mel Brooks and starring Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder.
Hedy Lamarr sued Warner Bros. for the unauthorized use of her name; an out-of-court settlement was reached.
Blazing Saddles also offers a rare look into the Warner backlot, with scenes spilling off the Laramie Street set into various stages and eventually out of Gate 3 onto Olive Blvd. in Burbank, CA.

The DVD Journal | Reviews : Blazing Saddles: 30th Anniversary Special Edition
Instead, Blazing Saddles' casual vulgarity, racial epithets, and pants-dropping silliness are spread like the very best butter over the more serious business of iconoclastically upturning expectations and tropes, especially some shibboleths found not just in old-fashioned cowboy movies.
Like Altman's war comedy, Blazing Saddles hosed down moviegoers with such audacity that it became a permission slip for other comics and filmmakers who came afterward, from the brothers Zucker and Farrelly to Saturday Night Live, with a case to be made for South Park, Chappelle's Show, and other newer arrivals.
Blazing Saddles laughs at racists, not with them, recalling Brooks' objective in The Producers to "dance on Hitler's grave." While its broadsides pointed at institutional redneckery are projected against the most conservative of movie genres, there's nothing mean-spirited here.

 Blazing Saddles
Raunchy, lowbrow, yet unfailingly crackling with social satire, arcane movie references, and genre-blasting humor, Blazing Saddles is the quintessential American comedy of the post-modern world.
Blazing Saddles contained lots of shock humor in its time, but the subsequent decades have melted away all that shock value.
Saddles is pretty far down the list of the top comedies at IMDb, probably underrated, but the competition is stiff, so perhaps it is fairly placed.

 (DVD Review) Blazing Saddles
Mel Brooks' "Blazing Saddles", an irreverent send-up of the old Westerns which were the cornerstone of the American cinema, almost from its very inception, has never seemed so vibrant and alive as this newly re-mastered DVD release.
For the first time ever, the film has been re-mastered with a digital Dolby AC-3 (5.1 channel) soundtrack, and (much more importantly for true cinema aficionado's) features the first-ever release of the film in a widescreen, full-aspect ratio, format which truly captures the width and breadth of the country in which the film was shot.
Overall, this is clearly a strong DVD release and the definitive version of Brooks' "Blazing Saddles" to own for the private collector.

Blazing Saddles is definitely a Western, with scenes around a campfire, gun battle showdowns and a sheriff who wants to clean up the proverbial one horse town.

All the songs in Blazing Saddles were written by Mel Brooks, who snared one of his three Oscar nominations for the title song.

This is too bad because Blazing Saddles shows that such language, given the right context, can actually combat bigotry by showing how stupid it really is. Cleavon Little, as Sheriff Bart, and Gene Wilder, as The Waco Kid, are presented as islands of sanity in a sea of ignorant, racist townspeople.
The success of "Blazing Saddles" is attributable in large part to the superb direction and writing (in conjunction with several other writers) of Mel Brooks, who (of course) also acted in the film in three separate roles: as Gov. William J. LePetomaine, an Indian chief and a World War I aviator.
The plot of "Blazing Saddles", as I eluded to in my review opening, takes place primarily in the fictional old-west town of Rock Ridge, whose residents seemingly all have the same last name and who have been mercilessly besieged by a group of thugs who are lead by a man named Taggart (Slim Pickens, 1919-1983).

For anyone who's been in a pop culture vacuum since 1974, Blazing Saddles tells the wild and woolly saga of Bart (Cleavon Little), a fl railway worker in the Old West who becomes sheriff of the frontier town of Rock Ridge.
At this stage in his filmmaking career, Brooks was still honing and refining his directorial skills; Blazing Saddles was his third film, after The Producers (1968) and The Twelve Chairs (1970).
And like any Brooks film, Blazing Saddles can be exhausting to watch; the manic writer/director/producer/star tries so hard—sometimes too hard—to keep the laughs coming that you feel spent, often well before the movie ends.
