A Bliki (also known as a WikiLog, Wog, WikiWeblog, Wikiblog, or Bloki), is a blog with wiki support.
Thus, a bliki can evolve as a whole over time, and past information is not merely jettisoned into the aether and lost in the shuffle.

A Bliki (also known as a WikiLog, WikiWeblog, Wikiblog, or Bloki), is a blog with wiki support.
The main advantage of combining the two technologies, however, is in leveraging the utility of wikis at making connections between ideas; this effectively turns blog posts into proper wiki articles, but maintains the former's immediate nature.

There are many extra methods available in the Bliki Library Plug In that are not in the Bliki Library that expose things like an array of the bliki topics or an array of a bliki topic's comments, for example.

Bliki will contain all the significant entries in the bliki as they appear.

I believe becoming a bliki system is a great idea.
The ideal FlexWiki integration would mean that the DNN pages would be created by WikiWords, editing could be done in FreeTextBox or another WYSIWIG editor, with FlexWiki(Bliki) buttons, and also use something like XML Forms, a la XMod.
In my view this would follow the progress of such Bliki's as http://www.xwiki.com, as they integrate with Java portal servers.

Blogs are typically more single-author mode, with comments at the end, as opposed to anyone can edit any page.

A bliki is a wiki in sheep’s clothing.
Bliki is an experiment in modifying wiki in order to make it more attracting to many users.
It started with the day-pages, the go-to-bar, xtof’s bliki and the fete-d’internet-wiki css-dressing-up nicely for the party, building the tools-bar, moving edit today’s page to the upper right corner, renaming the wiki-forum to recent day-pages, giving the edit links a little olor, ready was the bliki.

Some people are attempting to use these experimental "blikis" as a blog.
Ultimately, I also hope other bloggers will occasionally or even regularly import their own related blog content to the Social-Synergy-Bliki, or to create their own bliki, and post a link to it here.
So, the "bliki" is a bridge between the blogosphere, and possibly other SocialSoftware and networks of wikis.

My friend Steve has been doing some thinking around and about the convergence of the weblog and WikiWiki mediums; a medium that has become known as bliki (or wikilog).
Martin Fowler's weblog, wherein the creation of a CamelCased blog entry pushes the output to both a blog and a wiki is probably the most famous bliki.

After The Blog Is Gone: SnipSnap Plays Bliki - Robin Good's Latest News
A bliki is a blog that also has wiki capabilities.
That means, an easy-to-use online publishing tool, that a non-technical person can operate, and that integrates the ability for readers of the content to easily add, edit, revise and change it without needing to know programming or code.
If you are looking for a collaborative tool that would support collective gathering of resource lists, the refining concepts and ideas through an asynchronous process, or one of the many other possible asynchronous collaborative applications, you may indeed find that the concept of a bliki may have a lot of appeal going for it.

I just came across the term "bliki" in Martin Fowler's blog.
But the bliki that Martin Fowler has cooked up for himself doesn't seem to allow either comments or wiki-style editing.
It seems like you're missing a major part of both wikis and blogs if there's no possibility for user feedback.

Using the flat structure allows for simpler use of ACLs, particularly when integrating with other plugins like [[plugin:discussion]] since all the discussion happens in one namespace it is easy to open it up while locking down the posts themselves.
Can it be developped such as the blog-txt-files aren't stored in those numerous folders/namespaces but as a file named e.g.
Another big advantage is that by using a namespace, comments can be set to Read-Write for anyone or for a group, while the page itself is maintained as read-only.
