		While Blind Guardian seemed to be another in the long list of Tolkien-inspired metal bands in the late eighties, the band quickly turned itself into a marketable metal band in Germany with a major deal.
		Blind Guardian, nevertheless, is not backing away from the convoluted and intricate music it has made its own.
		If I would have to define Blind Guardian this is the song which I would relate to us as the closest so I did not expect to get harsh criticism for that one, but there were some people really complaining about that and these people strangely enough said Fly is OK or even good.

		Blind Guardian is one of those bands that people seem to either love or hate.
		Somewhere Far Beyond is my second Blind Guardian, and I like it more than Nightfall in Middle-Earth (the other BG album in my soon-to-grow-larger collection) because SFB doesn't have any annoying narratives, plus the guitar solos are a lot better and more prominent.

		After the multi layered A NIGHT AT THE OPERA fans (myself included) were yearning for a touch of the old Blind Guardian and the band did not disappoint.
		This was the obvious choice for me. Blind Guardian has been my favorite band since I discovered them, and every release lives up to the hype and long wait.
		Blind Guardian has a strange way of keeping their core sound while still branching out and expanding their style, which is their main appeal for me. I can (and do) listen to this album on repeat all day at work, and it still manages to get better every time.
