With George Brennan at the reins, the son of Blissful Hall won the $111,625 Cane Pace elimination at Freehold Raceway in a sizzling track record of 1:51.1, establishing himself as the favorite for Monday’s 50th running of the $334,875 Cane Pace, the first leg of Pacing’s Triple Crown.
Camelot Hall lowered the former Freehold track record for 3-year-old pacers of 1:51.4 that was first set by his sire, Blissful Hall (1999).
Camelot Hall who lowered his father’s co-track record at Freehold Saturday, will try and join his dad as a Cane Pace champion.

This was supposed to be an extended discussion of this year’s candidates for the Hall of Fame.
What prompted my original e-mail to Pinto was that this year’s ballot has an exceptional number of borderline candidates, as opposed to having one or two sure inductees and many clearly unqualified ones, which seems to have been a more common pattern in recent years.
After an injury sustained in a famous fight with Cliff Johnson cut short his 1979 season, Gossage’s workload was more reasonable for the rest of his career, but his effectiveness did not seem to be compromised by extensive use the way Sutter’s was.

Once on top, the son of Blissful Hall continued to pace strongly, passing the half-mile station in 54.2 and stopping the timer in a blazing 1:22.2 for three-quarters of a mile.
Brennan added that Camelot Hall fought much harder in the Cane elimination than he did in an elimination for the Adios - a race in which he led into the stretch but weakened late and finished fourth behind Timesareachanging in a 1:50 mile.

I walked to the entrance to the North hall where Nintendo, Sony, and Sega were exhibiting, but was ushered away from the entrance by an observant guard who noticed i didn't have my pass on.
I left the publisher's room (yes, it was a room), and walked through the gigantic Center's quiet halls, eventually coming up on the escalator back down to the first floor, and back to the entrance to the North hall.
