However, it's mostly the older sounds that you'll remember from this largely somber album, one that telegraphs uncertainty, doom, and the promise of bloodshed throughout much of the repertoire.
Her last several albums with Union Station have established their music as what SPIN magazine described as "taking bluegrass back to the future," she tried a more contemporary folk sound on her last solo album, and this past year she performed a few old time bluegrass numbers on the O BROTHER CD.
Another highlight of the album is the title song, co-written by fellow O BROTHER artist Gillian Welch and featuring more stunning vocals and music by Alison and the band.

Toon Zone Forum - Fresh Question #18: Favorite Album
What's great, however, about this album is how utterly fun it is- there was no bloodshed or fighting in its making, it's a honeymoon album; a great ride for everyone involved in the recording practice, and it shows in the quality.
In Step would sadly be SRV's last studio album (he died in a helicopter crash one year after its release), yet no album could be more fitting as a final farewell.
Blistering vocals and a raw, giddy sound give this album it's very recognizable tone, and it's a strangely upbeat record for something that came out of the early 90's alterna-rock revolution.

 Animal Rights FAQ
Such servants are given some farthings for their bloody work, and one buys from them the desired parts of the killed animal -- if possible prepared in such a way that it does not any more recall the discomfortable circumstances, nor the animal, nor its being killed, nor the bloodshed.
This website is meant to provide a one stop resource for those seeking information related to the scientific, historical, philosophical and spiritual arguments associated with the animal rights movement.
Response: a) This attack is flawed because it implies that if an animal activist would use a medical treatment that had been tested on animals then the activist is guilty of hypocrisy: contradicting his/her argument, and must either refuse any future medical treatment, or abandon the animal rights cause.

The album's opener, "How Long," is a plaintive antimilitarist anthem, opining at society's tolerance for bloodshed and loss of life in war.
An iffy album in which half the songs are terribly overwritten and lugubrious and the other half, though compelling, are generally buried in lamentably dense, pop-tinged production.
It took a while for this album to track me down, but the good news is it's a delight.

The emergence of each U2 album follows a maelstrom of discovery, architecture, deconstruction, bloodshed, debate and group therapy to resolve issues of identity crisis and artistic anxiety.
The album title, lifted from a song (Fast Cars) only on an import version, hints at an anti-war agenda, yet much of Bomb's ache and intimacy stems from the death of Bono's father in 2001.
Larry has this project to finish the Pop album, which could have been a masterpiece with more time.

 Krisiun
I would say that Krisiun 's Bloodshed can be appreciated by all Death Metal fans without any exception, from the Old-School party to the Melodic one.
Bloodshed is a bridge between present and past with an eye to the future, and is a bridge between two worlds well cemented in that American culture (America is not only US) that gets influences from USA indeed but maintains strong connections with Europe.
Bloodshed is an album that has much to offer.

Given the vile curvature of American history, what isn't surprising is that Becky chooses to solve her problems by methodically killing them: first, murdering her family, then driving to school with a shotgun and visiting upon the students of Melon Bayside High more bloodshed than a romp through Quake 3.
(Grae recognizes this: The album's subtitle is "The Dirty Mixes," and droll liner-note diagrams indicate prescribed bass, midrange, and treble settings for those who want to hear her imperfect amalgamation as originally intended.)
Unlike the perfectly mixed, perfectly balanced, radio-daypart-perfect hip-hop that, in its first week of release, will outsell Jean Grae's freshman album 300-to-1, a couple of Attack tracks even bear the immediacy and crush of light distortion and overmodulation on the vocals and basslines.

 New Reviews [Extreme Metal]
After a short intro, the death metal mayhem is unleashed with four songs "Skullcrusher," "Let the Bloodshed begin," "Laughter of Destruction," and "the ultimate Overthrow." Musically, Bloodshed combine old-school Swedish death metal with high speed blast parts a la Marduk.
This album could be considered as the crossroad between death metal, nu-metal, and Sepultura.
This is a refined 9 song journey to the different ends of the metal spectrum: a combination of a black metal vocal and death grunts, orchestral keyboards as well delicate piano parts, melodic death, doom metal as well as bay old school thrash riffs.

 Blistering.com Review: Krisiun - Bloodshed
Bloodshed isn’t so much a brand new album, but rather a collection of eight new tracks, along with four re-mastered tracks from their mini album Unmerciful Order from 1993.Introducing the new set is ‘Slain Fate’ with a decidedly groovier presence for Krisiun.
After thirteen years together (With the same line up that has existed throughout their entire existence, made up of brothers Moyses on guitar and Max Kolesne on drums, and Alex Camargo on bass and vocals), Krisiun return with the follow up to 2003’s Works Of Carnage with Bloodshed.
Krisiun have always provides some interesting instrumental interludes on their albums, and needless to say, they haven’t failed this time around either.

"Bloodshed", the latest Century Media release from Brazilian death masters Krisiun, is actually a blending of the old and the new, explains drummer Max Kolesne, "The record label had an idea to put out an album with only old songs from the first EP, "Unmerciful Order", which was released in 1993.
Fans can expect even more to come from Krisiun in the next few months, says Max, revealing the treats in store, "In October, we're going to have a new album out, we're going to release a DVD, one show that was recorded here in Sao Paolo, and the other show was recorded in Poland.
But sometimes when we have some free time we do some different stuff just for fun." Max concludes by saying the fans can look forward to nothing less than more brutal, aggressive death metal from the Brazilian blood brothers, "There is no reason for us to wimp out and quit playing this kind of music.

That year, Cosloy's Homestead label signed Allin and released his album with the Holy Men, You Give Love a Bad Name.
He and the Murder Junkies mounted another tour, accompanied by videographer Evan Cohen (who would later write the book I Was a Murder Junkie: The Last Days of G.G. Allin about the experience).

Cam'ron - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cam'ron began his career in the early 1990s, rapping alongside Big L, Ma$e and his cousin Bloodshed in a group called "Children Of The Corn." The group dissolved after Bloodshed's death in a car accident in 1996.
Cam'ron signed to Rivera's Entertainment label, releasing his first solo album, Confessions Of Fire, in April 1998.
However, Cam'ron continued to rap, and he eventually was introduced to Notorious B.I.G., who was so impressed with his skills that Biggie introduced him to his manager, Lance "Un" Rivera.

Others took to the floor of Congress, blaming the bloodshed on the Supreme Court and "kicking God out of our schools."
While Manson is criticized for horrifying youngsters and imitating the devil, Rev. Roberts seems to be a coincidental understudy as the creator of the Halloween "Hell House" spectacle which is staged annually by a growing number of fundamentalist and Pentecostal groups across the country.

From Ice Cube trading bitter retorts with Easy-E, to Jay-Z spewing angry rounds with Nas, rap feuds have fueled interest and sales — and sometimes bloodshed.

Unlike most rap tussles, which center on skills or street credibility, this one hinges on race.

G.G. Allin & the Murder Junkies managed to complete several tours together from 1991 through 1993, as well as issuing an official studio album (Brutality & Bloodshed for All), and was featured in the excellent G.G. documentary, Hated.
When Allin emerged from prison during the early '90s and wanted to resume his recording/touring career, his brother, Merle Allin, assembled a band for him.
Included was Merle himself on bass, drummer Dino Sex, and guitarist William Weber (the latter of which moonlighted in another group, the Chrome Cranks).

Krauss exchanges her bluegrass fiddle for the chamber strains of viola on much of the material, including four songs by Robert Lee Castleman (whose "The Lucky One," "Let Me Touch You for Awhile," and "Forget About It" were previously popularized by Krauss).
