In Bloom - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The song originally appeared on their 1991 breakthrough album Nevermind, from which it was the fourth single.
Written by Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, the song was meant to be an insult to the many people who ignored the meanings behind songs.

George Graham Reviews Luka Bloom's "Salty Heaven"
Bloom and company finished the recording in the famous Abbey Road studio in London and came up an album that, from a production standpoint, is Bloom's most interesting yet.
Bloom's composition, though, is about life's possibilities, and is marked by his distinctive sound, with the energy and musical tension in the arrangements spotlighting his guitar sound, and a few hints of Irish influence.
Bloom's distinctive electro-acoustic guitar sound remains a prominent part of the album, but this is also the most produced-sounding record of his career.

Stylistically, Bloom spreads its quality music into the realm of blues and progression with jazz undertones but what it is definitely is a rock album and it makes a mark.
Bloom begins with a fiery blast instrumental called “Bloom” and moves into “Summer Jam,” another rocking instrumental designed to give your speakers the workout that they’re rated to handle.
The album names the second part, Courante, again with six songs, half of which are instrumentals and provides a more jazzy feel although his "Tribute to Jerry Reed" is decidely country in sound as it should be.

SINWAGON | Luka Bloom | Amsterdam
Bloom, a folk singer/songwriter from Ireland, has long been hailed by critiques for his studio material over the years, but has not enjoyed the commercial success and following in America that he has in Europe.
Both albums, consisting of pretty love songs and quiet folk odes, provide excellent mood music for an evening with that special someone in front of a roaring fire.
Another early highlight on the album is the folksy cover of Bob Marley's "Natural Mystic." Bloom maintains the reggae feel of the original, but still makes the song his own.

On this album there is that classic Saga sound that we know from the early eighties and they ride the wave of success with three new Saga chapters, which will certainly please the “old” fans.
The album starts with the title track, which could be a prog rock hit for Saga, an outstanding composition with a very catchy chorus, which will remain in “your ears” for a very long time (“it takes time to get to Avalon, that’s why we’re on this Marathon….).
This is a shame as the album shows a lot of promise and is, to be blunt, of a quality that exceeds a lot of the material that bands of that time were producing.
