BBC - Comedy Guide - Blossom
Centre of attention was Blossom, a smart and mature-beyond-her-years teenage girl (13 at the series' start) who was acutely aware that she wasn't cheerleader or prom-queen material but who was determined to make the most of life all the same.
For a while Blossom had a steady boyfriend, Vinnie, a streetwise Italian kid, but the writers found more mileage when she was on the lookout for romance.
Blossom may seem contrived in retrospect, a calculated attempt to create a show that touched all the bases, but it undoubtedly succeeded in striking a chord with teen viewers.

To hear Blossom Dearie's early records for Verve is to think that she would excel singing any song in any circumstance; to hear Sings Broadway Hit Songs is to realize that even she has limitations.
Buoyed by the success of Ella Fitzgerald's songbook series, Verve executive Norman Granz suggested to one of his other artists, Blossom Dearie, that she tackle the canon of lyricists Betty Comden and Adolph Green.
The most expressive of jazz vocalists, Blossom Dearie's first three records for Verve -- all masterpieces -- displayed an artist with an uncommon ability to transfer a well-worn standard into a new song, usually informed by her light touch with piano and voice as well as her delightful coquette persona.

TV sci-fi has never been so sexy and intelligent at the same time.
This is a show with nothing but sex on its mind, with a shamelessly brazen parade of T&A, an unending stream of suggestive dialogue and hilarious sexual metaphors (many of them concocted by the lovesick robot head in his erotic odes to Xev), and a tongue-in-cheekiness that manages to spoof its own sex-mad silliness.
At times it can even be inventive: Lafftrak, set on a dead planet where interactive TV shows still run on auto-pilot, puts the crew through its own season of hell in front of a brain-dead studio audience, and Love Grows exposes the crew to a virus that puts an unexpected twist on their sexual cravings.

Movie Info for The Man from U.N.C.L.E. [TV Series] on MSN Movies
Though not the first of TV's international-espionage series, NBC's The Man From U.N.C.L.E. was one of the most successful -- and, by virtue of its September 22, 1964, debut date, the first series of its kind to directly benefit from the popularity of the earliest James Bond films starring Sean Connery.
The series switched to color and a Friday-night slot for its second season, at which time the plots became less sober and more humorous, and many of the "normal" people temporarily engaged to help the good guys were decidedly on the eccentric side.
Unfortunately, the series' viewership had dropped to an all-time low, and on January 15, 1968, it was canceled, replaced by NBC's new comedy-variety series Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In.

An engaging teen star of 1990s TV sitcoms, Lawrence is perhaps best known for his portrayal of the dumb yet lovable Joey Russo on NBC's hit series "Blossom" (1991-95).
Lawrence went on to make guest appearances on other episodics, before landing the role of the intellectually clueless Joey Russo on "Blossom", whose catch-line was a clipped "Whoa!" The actor became one of the top teen idols in America and translated that into a hit album which included the single, "Nothin' My Love Can't Fix".
A streak of TV Movies and forgettable film roles ended in 2002 when Lawrence was cast in the promising NBC drama "American Dreams." Set against the backdrop of the tumultous 1960's, the ambitious series follows a young girl's dream to be on American Bandstand.
