  Blow movie review
We'll often tell you that such a movie won't win any Oscars but is fun way to spend a couple of hours at the cinema.
Blow is just the opposite, it wouldn't be a surprise to see it get some Oscar nominations.
This is one of those movies that if you enjoy a good drama and a well made film, you should see it, but I do not think anyone will be sitting thru this one multiple times.

MOVIE REVIEWHHH: Blow -- The Newest, Greatest Drug Flick
Blow tells the rise and fall story of Massachusetts native George Jung (played by Johnny Depp), an ambitious and opportunistic character who capitalized on the cocaine craze of the seventies and early eighties.
Blow spares us the over-the-top violence seen in Goodfellas (which is still one of the most violent films ever made) and Scarface (just as violent) while never getting itself caught up in the large scale interwoven complexities of the bigger picture that Traffic did so well.
Although the movie spans more than a 20-year period, it never lets us see the impact that cocaine actually had on the seventies “glam rock” crowd, the decadent subculture of the disco era, or the yuppie generation where everything was done to excess.

 Blow
The movie Grass does a nice job of getting you from drugs in the early 1920's to the 1960's and Blow and Traffic pick it up from there.
Tell Me More About It: Blow is an uneven film; as good as Traffic for the first two thirds of the story, and a lot worse in the last third.
It is very personal and informative, with respect to giving the background on why George Jung was a free spirit and moved from the East Coast to Southern California beaches to become a party animal.

Blow - a Movie Review of The Phantom Tollbooth   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-14)
Blow is, as the opening credits proudly proclaim, "based on a true story," though I have the feeling the operative word is 'story' rather than 'true.' It tells of the rise and (inevitable) fall of George Jung, the man who helped make cocaine the American drug of choice in the late '70s and early '80s.
The movie's conclusion, a mawkish plea that seems addressed directly to Jung's daughter, is only the final dollop of icing on this offensive cake.
Blow is rated 'R' for lots of language and drug use, and fleeting nudity.

Blow Dry Movie Review at Hollywood Video
The trouble with Blow Dry starts with the competition itself, which ought to be the comic centerpiece of the movie.
Blow Dry is handicapped from the start, since Shelley is hiding a terrible secret from her family that adds a morbid touch of soap opera to the story from which it never recovers.
The movie lurches from tragedy to comedy and back again with too many characters and subplots — a budding Romeo-and-Juliet romance between Brian and Christina goes nowhere, while the triangle between Vincent, Robert, and Jasmine seems to exist merely to show off Heidi Klum's heart-shaped pubic triangle (or, at least, her body double's).

 Blow | ajc.com
Based on a true story, "Blow" follows the rise and fall (and fall, and fall) of Jung, a young go-getter who partners with Derek Foreal (Paul Reubens), a guy who cuts hair for a living but really makes his money selling pot.
The comparison between movies is both a compliment and a caveat: "Blow" ultimately can't live up to the fever-dream energy of Martin Scorsese's movie.
One casualty is co-star Penelope Cruz as George's party-girl Colombian wife; her role is reduced to a shrill cartoon.

 Barbershop Movie Review: Blow
This true story, Blow, shows the life of George Jung, played by Johnny Depp, who started out selling marijuana then changed to cocaine and became the first and biggest dealer in the U. This movie is filled with dry humor, classic rock and roll, and flashy film techniques with different styles for each decade.
The movie is made up by many great performances by a brilliant supporting cast.
On the surface, Blow may seem to be the ins and outs of the California cocaine trade, but in reality it is the roller-coaster life of George Jung and his inability to resolve conflicts with family, friends, and money.

Blow Soundtrack Reviews @ Movie Music . com
I just bought this soundtrack, having enjoyed the movie very much.
The best track is Ram Jam's "Black Betty," which automatically reminds me of Johnny Depp's character strolling nonchalantly through customs with the suitcases full of blow.
The movie was awesome and the music is also very good.

Blow Dry, a British film about a hairdressing competition.
This led me to wonder whether there really exist hairdressing competitions, and whether they bear any resemblance to those in the movie.
