Pegged early on as a group who refused to conform, Third Eye Blind remained true to their roots through fifty-two straight weeks of touring in 1998, and throughout the summer and fall of 1999, while recording their new album Blue.

Of all the second-wave post-grunge bands from 1997, Third Eye Blind cultivated the most dedicated fan base.
