BlueSwede was a Swedish rock band from the early to mid-1970s that succeeded with a few singles which were covers of other artists' material.
The band was originally called "Blåblus" (Swedish for "blue denim shirt") and featured Björn Skifs singing the lead vocals.
The group had a US top 10 hit with a cover of The Association's "Never My Love." Also of note, the group recorded a medley that combined "I'm Alive" by The Hollies and "Hush" by Deep Purple which played better in Scandinavia than anywhere else.

Forming BlueSwede, they listened hard to Slade's rowdy singalong style and, as they had no compositions of their own, the sextet covered B.J. Thomas's 1969 hit single "Hooked On A Feeling".
The Swedish Pop sextet BlueSwede were contemporaries of ABBA - in fact, BlueSwede had their first number one just months before that other Swedish group had their first American hit.
Both of BlueSwede's big hit songs are included in this collection and coincidentally, both are remakes of songs which had earlier been Pop hits - "Hooked...

BlueSwede (clever name; guess you can't tell where they hail from) hit the top of the charts all over the world with "Hooked on a Feeling", practically making BJ Thomas' original hit from 5 years earlier a faded memory.
