Weaver's contribution to the group's sound during this period has been preserved in a pair of professionally recorded concerts that were broadcast on radio and have since been bootlegged.
Weaver also became the first non-Gibb brother to share a composition credit with the three singer/songwriter brothers, on "Songbird." In the years to come, Weaver became an integral element of the group's music and its shape, structure, and texture, particularly on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack which followed immediately after.
Weaver was replaced by Chris Parren at the end of the 1980s, although he was back with the group for their 1993 tour.

Weaver says the team is hoping for 1,000 respondents from that sample, as well as an additional, separate sample of 500 minority and on-line journalists.
Weaver says obtaining respondents is one of the hardest parts of the study, both when asking editors to supply employee lists and when interviewing the sampled journalists.
Weaver says the sampling process has already revealed large decreases in the number of journalists working for dailies, newsmagazines and wire services, and big increases in the number of newspeople at weekly newspapers and television stations.

Blue can boast more pop success than any other member of the Strawbs, having been screamed at by more teeny-boppers than he would today care to recall.
Blue came to London to escape the Cardiff music scene, and ended up in new pop band Amen Corner which effortlessly secured a string of Top 20 hits in the late 60s - "(If Paradise Was) Half As Nice", "Bend Me, Shape Me" amongst others.
Blue however was back in the squad for the tour with Lindisfarne at the end of 1993.

 Blue Weaver Biography
Born Derek Weaver in Cardiff, Wales, in 1947, he took up the piano and organ as a boy, and by the time he was in his late teens had become a member of Brother John & the Witnesses, whose lineup included drummer Dennis Byron.
Weaver was replaced by Chris Parren at the end of the 1980s, although he was back with the group for their 1993 tour.
Weaver has played on records by Stevie Wonder, the Pet Shop Boys, the Damned, and Chicago, as well as on numerous film soundtracks and commercials, and since the early '90s has owned and operated a successful independent studio in London.

Blue Weaver, Rick Wakeman’s replacement on keyboards, stamps his own mark throughout the album, providing structured layers of sound for the band to build on, rather than the more independent sound of his predecessor.
Blue Weaver does a tremendous job throughout the album, as replacing Rick Wakeman was a daunting task, but he did it and with gusto.
Blue Weaver's mellotron work is one of the strong points of the album, and he does it here.

In 1971, Wakeman left the Strawbs in order to join Yes; he was replaced by Blue Weaver formerly of the Amen Corner.
Blue Weaver left after one more tour, while Hudson and Ford exited to form Hudson-Ford, also signed to A&M. The Strawbs regrouped in 1974 with Hero and Heroine, recorded with a new lineup consisting of Cousins, Lambert, keyboardist John Hawken, bassist Chas Cronk, and drummer Rod Coombes.
The Strawbs responded, in the guise of Cousins, Hooper, Hudson, Ford, Weaver, and Willoughby, and the response was so favorable that a tour was scheduled, which, in turn, led to their return to America in the mid-'80s.
