  Blueshirt
The Blueshirts was a group within the Kuomintang in the 1930s which were actively modelled on the brown shirts[?] and fl shirts[?] of Italian and German Fascism.
Blueshirts was also a nickname given to the Army Comrades Association, an Irish organisation set up by General Eoin O'Duffy[?] in the 1930s.
The Blueshirts merged with a number of organisations to form the Fine Gael (United Ireland) party, which was the principal challenger to Eamon de Valera's Fianna Fáil and remains the second largest Irish political party.

The Blueshirts - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The argument that the Blueshirts were fascists is generally based on their own adherence to fascist idealogy (with a particular admiration for Mussolini) as well as their fascist-style uniforms, use of the Roman salute (members shouted 'Hail O'Duffy!' at rallies), militant Catholicism and anti-communism and a belief in corporatism.
Eoin O'Duffy and his Blueshirt movement are generally now regarded as an embarrassment by these same conservative elements, especially following the defeat of Fascism in the Second World War and the appalling crimes of Fascism coming to public light, evidenced by the horrors of the holocaust.
Today, Blueshirt is a reference to the Irish manifestation of the Fascist phenomema in the Interwar years of Europe and to the Fascist legacy among Irish conservatives.
