Today, both CBS Corp. and Time Warner Inc.'s Warner Brothers announced that they will close their respective UPN and WB television networks and jointly launch a new network in fall 2006.
Currently 10 out of the 12 shows currently produced on UPN are either staring a Black actor or actress or have a majority Black cast.
UPN has yet to announce if or how these shows will be incorporated into the new network, however it was announced that the new network will use the WB's current scheduling model, which consists of Monday through Friday nights from 8-10 p.m.
