Bob McEwen - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Robert D. "Bob" McEwen (born January 12, 1950) was a conservative Republican member of the United States House of Representatives from southern Ohio's Sixth District from January 3, 1981, to January 3, 1993.
McEwen, who had easily won three terms in the Ohio House, was elected to Congress at the age of thirty to replace a retiring representative in 1980 and easily won re-election five times.
McEwen was caught up in the House Banking Scandal, which had been seized upon by Newt Gingrich, a like-minded conservative House Republican, as an example of the corruption of Congress; members of the House had been allowed to write checks on their accounts which were paid despite insufficient funds and without penalty.

Weak support The short paragraphs and sections should be made longer or worked into the rest of the article.
Specifically, "namesake", "Challenging Schmidt in 2006", "Following the primary, McEwen campaigned", "Returns to private life" (that's a poor title too, IMO), "Following the primary, the Dayton Daily News criticized", "Strickland said, "I ran against Pat Robertson, Pat Buchanan" and "Miller decides to run" (also bad title).
I merged a couple of the sections and paragraph per your comment, but the "returns to private life" section really ought to stand alone.

Thursday, a 6-1 commission found McEwen made a false statement last spring by using the word "congressman" in front of his name in radio and television campaign ads as well as literature during the primary election.
McEwen is on record now as having violated Ohio Election Law in the 2005 Second District Congressional Primary, and is to my knowledge the only one of approximately 16 candidates of both parties who ran in that primary you can say that about.
Interesting that McEwen's offenses from a June 2005 primary were so offensive, that one of Schmidt's schmucks waited until 2006 to file the charge.
