Bob Weston's name and fingerprints are all over the American underground rock of the post-punk era, producing and engineering dates for a seemingly endless number of bands in addition to full-time collaborations with Shellac and the reconstituted Mission of Burma.
In 1987, Weston signed on to play bass in former Mission of Burma drummer Peter Prescott's new project, the Volcano Suns, beginning a sporadic affiliation with the legendary group that also included a collaboration with Burma bassist Clint Conley's Consonant.
In 2002, Weston was asked to substitute for live sound engineer and tape manipulator Martin Swope in the revived Mission of Burma, signing on for their "Inexplicable" reunion tour and later recording their 2004 comeback LP Onoffon.

Weston's contribution to the album was mainly as a lead guitarist alongside Bob Welch but he stood out thanks to his slide guitar skills and his accomplished harmonica and banjo playing.
Weston was fired and the rest of the tour was cancelled, the band members each travelling to a different part of the world to gather their thoughts.

Bob Welch (born August 31, 1946 in Los Angeles, California) is a former member of Fleetwood Mac who had a brief successful solo career in the late 1970s.
Welch struggled with a variety of marginal bands until 1971, when he was invited to join Fleetwood Mac, then an erstwhile English blues band that had lost its two most prominent members, Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer, within a few months.
In the early 1990s he moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he put together a short-lived group called Avenue M which backed him on tour and recorded one song for a greatest hits compilation.

Throughout the vocal tunes, it surprises me that Bob's voice is smoother and higher than I had expected...I thought his voice would be gruffer than it is...more like Dave Mason's...but, I'm glad I was wrong.
I always loved Weston's guitar playing and this CD is no exception.The vocals are what is surprising,this guy can sing and with the beautiful Cianne Carrol you get that Fleetwood Mac sound.Talk about a musician who has matured and aged like fine wine.I love this CD and the more I listen the more I hear.

Bob Welch infuses some jazzy west coast guitar into his songs along with his breezy vocals and clever lyrics on cuts such as Hypnotized and Emerald Eyes.
Although this release wasn't a big seller (which might have been the fault of that cover painting--UGLY!!), several of the songs here are winners, with Bob Welch doing his best work with the band and Christine McVie bringing in more of her lovely, intriguingly melancholy odes to both giddy love and burned affairs.
Given that the audiences were pretty open to different kinds of music, their prior success in their early days and the fact that every album had at least one or two radio-ready songs, it surprised me that FM did so badly in the early 70s.
