  Bobby (2006): Reviews
Whether or not Bobby Kennedy was the man his supporters believed him to be, the film makes a persuasive case that something important in America was silenced when he was gunned down.
Bobby can be seen clearly for what it is--an "Airport" movie with the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy as the central calamity and an all-star cast deployed like multiple George Kennedys.
Bobby turns out to be a good movie with lofty ambitions that never really focuses on Bobby until the final scene but by then it's just too late.

 Bobby + Fast Food Nation
A completely pointless exercise in winsome, pathetic hand-wringing, the navel-gazing Bobby is just one of this year's inevitable examples of the power of nepotism in dictating who gets to continue churning out the worst films anyone's ever seen.
Just the idea of Bobby stinks of intense stupidity--of that taint of rich, intellectually infantile dolts dreaming up some sensitive, cardigan-wearing premise wherein a sainted icon's last day of life can be told through the eyes and mouths of "average" people.
What Bobby and Fast Food Nation share (besides the roundelay structure, the star-filled cast, the mindless liberal ranting made instantly quaint by our most recent Congressional elections--see also: Crash) is an intensely distasteful taint of superiority.
