Bobby Jordan was born on April 1st, 1923 near Long Island, N.Y. in the small town of Harrison and raised in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn.
Bobby had been drinking liquor in much larger quantities in the mid-fifties and it was for that reason, his wife Lee left him in 1957.
Bobby collapsed at the home of a friend on August 25 th, 1965 and was admitted to Veterans Administration Hospital in Los Angeles for cirrhosis of the liver.

Jordan went along for the ride when the Dead End Kids became the East Side Kids at Monogram studios in the early 1940s; in these cheap but endearing films, Jordan usually played the character who got into deep trouble, obliging Gorcey, Hall and the rest of the ever-aging "Kids" to bail him out.
The rest of Jordan's life was blighted with marital problems, drunkenness, and continual run-ins with the law.
Bobby Jordan died of cirrhosis of the liver at age 42.

Bobby Jordan (April 1, 1923 - September 10, 1965 was born in Harrison, New York.
In 1929, Bobby was cast as Charles Hildebrand in the 1929 Broadway play, 'Street Scene', and in 1935, he became one of the Dead End Kids by winning the role of Angel in Sydney Kingsley's riveting Broadway drama 'Dead End', about life in the slums of lower east side New York City.
In 1937, Bobby joined his cast-mates in Hollywood to make the movie version of the play starring big names such as Humphrey Bogart, Joel Mc'Crae, Sylvia Sydney and Claire Trevor.

The quality of the films declined until Warner's threw in the towel and the Kids were reborn as the East Side Kids at the king of the poverty row studios, Monogram.
Dead End Kid Bobby Jordan played Rap in 2 of the films and became Tommy(!) in the last entry in the series.
The chemistry that worked so well between Gorcey and Hall never materialized with Clements and this, along with the fact that the "Boys" were now well into their 30's and the lack of demand for programmer type films such as these due to TV, proved to be the death knell of the series.
