The reason we inherit "our" karma is that in a previous life we contributed to the conditions and situations that we are then reborn into, and seeds that we planted ripen into new conditions that we must deal with in a later lifetime.
Is this just an attempt to "personalize" Buddhism so that the common man can make a connection to a higher realm or hope for a higher existent form at some time in the future?
To think of conditions, is the energy of a Boddhisattva just a condition of the Absolute that results in a "Boddhisattva Effect" in the Relative that we have attempted to explain by materializing the Boddhisattva hypothesis?
