Bodydonnas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Bodydonnas were a professional wrestling tag team in the WWF in the mid-1990's, comprising of Chris Candido as Skip, Tammy Lynn Sytch as Sunny, and Tom Prichard as Skip's onscreen brother Zip.
The Bodydonnas were formed in 1995 in the World Wrestling Federation with Skip and Sunny introducing themselves via a series of vignettes.
Sunny left the Bodydonnas to follow the gold, becoming the Godwinns' manager until they lost their titles to the Smokin' Gunns.

The Bodydonnas continued to work together going into the new year, becoming tag-team title contenders in the process.
Once again, the Bodydonnas seemed to be unable to counter the power of the Godwinns.
Candido entered '97 with a feud with former Bodydonnas wannabe Louie Spicolli (formerly known as Rad Radford in the WWF).

The forecast for their future together was bright and clear when Sunny's interference - actually, she flashed her shapely rear at Phineas Godwinn at WrestleMania XII - helped The Bodydonnas win the vacant WWF World tag team title.
At In Your House VIII in Florence, South Carolina, Sunny accompanied Phineas Godwinn, who is still smitten with her, to ringside for the Godwinn's match with The Smokin' Gunns.
At press time, the matter was unresolved, and it didn't come much closer to a resolution when we brought Skip and Sunny together...

[Deathwatch] Chris Candido, professional wrestler, 33
Realizing that the Bodydonnas may yet have value, the WWF changed gears in late '95, trying to turn Skip into a tag team wrestler.
They were semi-feuding with the Smoking Gunns at the time (as Sunny had become their manager), and during that run, Candido suffered an injured neck during the summer of 1996.
Although another minor injury had a pretty major "trickle down effect" (Candido was injured and could not compete on the first ECW PPV, opening the door for Rob Van Dam to step in and have his breakthrough night), it was pretty smooth sailing for Candido in ECW.

 Bio of Sunny
The Bodydonnas became a tag team, and gunned for the titles.
After the Gunns were forced to forfeit the titles in February '96, Sunny's Bodydonnas got a shot at the vacant titles against the Godwinns at Wrestlemania 12.
Hence, when the Bodydonnas lost the titles to the Godwinns in May of 1996, Sunny became a two-time WWF tag team championship manager as she left the Bodydonnas for the Godwinns.

Chris Candido, who at one time was known as Bodydonna member Skip in the WWF, is yet another wrestler dead at 33.
His first nationwide exposure was ten years ago when he and his girlfriend Tammy "Sunny" Sytch were the Bodydonnas in the World Wrestling Federation.
I could never quite get the point of their gimmick, they were athletes who took care of their bodies, and did it without looking like muscle-freaks.

Bodydonnas (w/Sunny) vs. Smoking Gunns Warning: this review (and the rest of the series) is 100% crack whore joke free.
The tag titles were locked into the immortal Godwinns vs. Bodydonnas feud, which has since become almost the perfect joke target for this era, and rightfully so.
Skip low-bridges the ropes off a whip 4 minutes in to put PIG in position for the heat segment, and the 'donnas work him over for a bit with their slightly mediocre offense, dumbed-down for the uselessness of the Godwinns.

I cannot tell you how many times as a young fan I would sit in front of the Television on Saturday and Sunday morning to see these larger than life personalities on "WWF" and "WCW" television programming.
I remember seeing the first promo of what was "The Bodydonnas" and seeing Chris Candido and Tammy Sytch.
They were something that was unique in the sense at the age I was in, and now that I look at characters that are portrayed as such in wrestling television now, they could never touch what Candido and Sytch did for the business and entertainment at that time with promos and in-ring work they portrayed.
