PunkROCKS.net CD Review - Bodyjar - How It Works
Over the years, Aussie rockers Bodyjar have developed a limited following in United States by licensing out their music to surf videos and video games, and have become known as a surf band, despite their sound being pretty run of the mill fast rock.
More recently Bodyjar have grown immensely in Australia, prompting Nitro Records to bring this record, released in 2000 in Australia, to the United States.
Bodyjar is not bubblegum, and they're not a boy band, but I'd bet that anyone into bands falling under the umbrella of "pop punk" would be quite taken with Bodyjar.

Bodyjar: How It Works Aversion.com Review
Although Bodyjar?s been around in one form or another since 1990, there?s little that ties this Austrialian act?s pop punk to most of its American counterparts that grew up in the same era, and How It Works doesn?t even try to Americanize the band?s snappy pop anthems.
Anyone who?s kept an eye on Bodyjar over the past few years knows it?s toured with the likes of NOFX and Blink 182, though there?s not a trace of the sophomoric So-Cal pop-punk anywhere on this album.
Bodyjar may take a slightly novel approach to the melody-laden punk formula, though its vocal tracks are run-of-the-mill affairs that do little to serve the power of its arrangements.
