Bohermeen athletes enjoyed their most successfull ever Meath AAI track championships winning a total of 58 individual medals at the A cs and 19 at the Bcs,aswell, as several gold silver and bronze relay teams placed.
Bohermeen men,team champions for the past two seasons overlooked the local title for the roads of Boston and left the senior ladies to hold the club end up and this they did.
Bohermeen parish is one of the largest communities in the county and indeed the country,with over 30 local clubs and associations within it.

The primary schools All-Ireland took place in Moate Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 May. In both cases, the Leinster champions added the All-Ireland title to their glory, but all participants deserve to be applauded for their sporting behaviour on and off the court.
They narrowly lost to Bohermeen and Oranmore, which meant that even an emphatic 14-4 victory over Riverstown could not get them into a medal winning position.
However, Bohermeen had the advantage of having scored more goals, and so for them a draw would suffice to clinch the title.

With one lap to go the gap was down to 1 with Bohermeen on 22 and Dunboyne on 23.
On the run in Morgan McDonagh ran on to finish 3rd passing John Gill of Bohermeen thus giving Dunboyne the points to win the McDonnell trophy and the team event.
In the course of the race Rory lapped his father Tommy who was on his way to a bronze in the over 55 category.

LUCAN Cycling Road Club riders maintained their good run of performances and results in the Waller Cup in Bohermeen last Sunday week (March 30).
Kirwan went clear in the winning break in the first lap, with Whelan in a chase group behind, and Lucan’s inform rider took an excellent fourth prize in the same time as the winner, Derek Burke, from the Professional Pezula team.

 Blackhall Gaels GAA Club
The Gaels under 16 football team eventually ran out of time in Sean Newman Park, Bohermeen on Friday 27th June last, in a narrow defeat to Ballinlough in an exciting Division 3 A final.
After winning the toss and electing to play with a reasonably stiff breeze we dominated possession for most of the first half.
Thanks also to their coach Paul Nestor, his fellow selectors Peadar Creagh, John Keane, Sean Kelly, Gerry Stenson and to the players parents and club supporters who contributed to an enjoyable season of football.

Daniel Kirwan and Brendan Whelan lined up for the Club in the Senior 1 event, both riders are just back from the ‘Tour Of The North’ and Kirwan showed immediately how well he was going with attacks in the first couple of miles of the 70 mile race.
The club have more young riders and Women coming through in the coming weeks - its important that our more experienced riders giving them the support they need.

In Limerick Mick Rice, Alan Burke, James Lundon, Gary Doherty and Peter Lowney wore the maroon and white over this challenging 10k road course.

Two of Drogheda United’s FAI Carlsberg Cup-winning players caused plenty of excitement among pupils from four local schools in County Meath when they took the Cup to Yellow Furze National School this week.
Substitute goalkeeper Gary Rogers, who hails from Bohermeen in Meath, and midfielder Gavin Whelan, the scorer of the first goal in the 2-0 victory over Cork City, were joined by assistant manager Tony Cousins at the Yellow Furze school.
More than 300 schoolchildren, from Yellow Furze, Kentstown, Loreto, Navan and Gaelscoil na Ríthe, Dunshaughlin, were on hand to greet the Drogs contingent.

Navan Avonmore rider Colm Farrell today proved fastest at the end of the Waller Cup in Bohermeen outsprinting Finglas Ravens duo Graham Thomas and Anto Moran plus ten other breakaway companions to win the 60 mile combined Senior 1&2 race.
Farrell was part of a group which went clear on the first of 6 laps and which swelled to about 20 at the 12 mile mark.
In the other races Dublin Wheelers rider Pat Byrne won the combined Senior 3/Junior/Veteran event while Marie Reilly (Bohermeen) took the womenâs trophy.

Andrea Depol, 28, topped the women's 5K field with an impressive time of 17:47 on a cool, breezy morning.
Several members of the Bohermeen A.C. were in Chicago from Ireland to support their friend Richie Byrne, a DePaul University sophomore, who competed in the Conference USA Cross Country Championships the previous day.
Once the race was over, the trick-or-treating began.

Richard Byrne, who competes for DePaul University in Chicago Illinois ran 4.00.67 in his 1,500-metre qualifying heat and did not reach the final at the 2006 Big East Conference Championships on the campus of the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut on 6th - 7th May.
Byrne, who competes for Bohermeen AC in Ireland, placed 11th in the 1,500 metres with a time of 3.57.05 at the Bulldog Classic held at the University of Louisville in Kentucky on 22nd April.
Byrne, 21, ran 3.57.20 to place eighth at the Long Beach Invitational on 14th April in Long Beach, California.
