The IHC also organized and facilitated a week-long institute for Idaho teachers focusing on the presidency of Thomas Jefferson, honored Boise State University Professor Emeritus Robert Sims for his outstanding contribution to the humanities in Idaho, and toured the Smithsonian exhibit "Yesterdays Tomorrows" to six rural areas of the state.
Boise State University History Professor Emeritus Robert Sims was honored with IHC's 2004 Award for "Outstanding Achievement in the Humanities" at a special reception and presentation ceremony in February 2005 at the Basque Museum and Cultural Center in Boise.
Boise State University History Department (Boise) received $1,500 to support honorarium for a lecture by Anne Applebaum in March 2005.
