BoKu: You have to remember that Dragoon was designed to simulate linear warfare which was a style of warfare developed as a response to the technology available at the time.
The most difficult element in the game to model was the interaction of unit disruption and morale and their combined impact on a unit’s ability to withstand combat.
BoKu: Due to the large number of exchanges necessitated by the game’s dynamic leader activation system, we never thought the original would lend itself to very well to PBEM play so we never pursued that as a primary feature of the game.

The game is turn-based and takes place on a two-dimensional map of squares, but with portals in the form of windows, stairs and ladders to transport units to other areas of the map, symbolically above or below the portal.
Overall the game is not too dissimilar from Warhammer 40,000 `s Chaos Gate except that the SSI game is three dimensional.
The game is controlled from a Console Bar on the left of the screen with information dialogue box, mini map and a switch to move between the three modes: Phase, Reports, and Game.

Press Start Online - Boku No Watashi No Katamari Damacy   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-05)
For those unfamiliar with the Katamari Damacy games, you control the Dashing Prince and his ball; pushing it around various locations from house interiors, to coastal resorts and even huge cities; gradually accumulating a bigger ball of junk.
The game’s Western title ‘Me and My Katamari’ seems quite appropriate, given that I’d often feel as though it was just me and my voiceless avatar facing up to the next challenge; silently getting on with our next task amidst the bewildering hiragana, katakana and kanji.
For a game that clearly bursts with charm, to miss out on the meat of the story and the quips of The King Of All Cosmos is to experience only half of what Katamari has to offer.

Armies of Armageddon: WDK 2K Review - PC
The game lacks any account of elevation on the battle field which is a drag of some sorts; but all in all, it is a pretty powerful engine and it makes up for the shortcomings of the interface.
Boku gets a descent score here simply because the graphics fit the game type pretty well, don't take that to mean that the graphics are anything to wow about.
While the game lacks any of the high paced, powerful graphical and audio flares that we are used to seeing in today's games, AoA WDK comes through with a great idea and a pretty decent flow and structure to an old genre.

Since BOKU is a word with two syllables, and since the box very clearly says that it is a game with two rules, I decided to interview the top two medal winners in the Junior BOKU tournament, Gold Medal winner Shani Chachamu from London and Silver Medal winner Jonathan Shapiro from Middlesex.
BOKU (the O has a bar over it, reminding us that it is pronounced with the long O sound), at quick glance, is a rather intriguing game.
BOKU certainly looks like a very interesting game, and though I did not know about the game before this convention, I look forward to learning it, and perhaps playing a game against the inventor next year.

BOKU is played on a 5x6 hexagonal board with 36 stones for each player (so, a total of 72 stones to occupy 80 empty cells).
BOKU is remarkable simple, but according to David Glaude and other players, the game is, at best (due to limitations on board size and number of stones) a draw.
In UK the game is manufactured by the London Game Company.

Every once in a while – and this goes back to board gaming in the 80’s – there is a push by industry people to try to introduce war gaming to a larger audience.
Every few years in computer gaming, a glitzy whiz-bang war game will be released that is supposed to act as a kind of ‘gateway’ game, one that will supposedly lead the uninitiated into the broader world of traditional war gaming.
