Boldrewood was the pen name of Thomas Alexander Browne, who was born on Aug. 6, 1826, in London.
Zinkernagel, Rolf M. Swiss immunologist and pathologist who, along with Peter C. Doherty of Australia, received the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 1996 for their discovery of how the immune system distinguishes virus-infected cells from normal cells.

Rolf changed the word 'donkey which appeared in the song, to 'kangaroo' and his brother Bruce helped him write the opening of the song 'There's an old Australian Stockman..' Rolf also wrote completely new verses to the entire song and made it his own.
Rolf's parents, his Dad Crom (Cromwell) and his mother Marge (Agnes Margaret Robbins) were born in Wales, but emigrated to Australia before Rolf was born.

Both James Fenimore Cooper and Rolf Boldrewood are central representatives of the assertions of white, male identities in the foundation narratives of their respective nations (although Boldrewood is one who is referred to but little investigated at present).
This cloaking may take different forms in Boldrewood’s work, from the disguises of Robbery Under Arms to what Robert Dixon refers to with reference to Hereward Pole [in The Miner’s Right]: “English characters must cross-dress as diggers to enter this democratic society” (Dixon, 1998: 71).
In Cooper’s work, however, strategies of disguise are both more varied and more crucial, which may help explain why Cooper remains significant, albeit not without being contested, while Boldrewood has largely faded from view apart from the one novel in which secrecy is central.
