Boligee, Alabama (AHN) - The F-B-I says investigators are treating nine separate Alabama church fires as though they are linked.
Fires damaged or destroyed four more Baptist churches across the Alabama countryside Tuesday, less than a week after a string of five blazes that were linked to arson.
According to investigators, Alabama has had 59 church fires over the past five years and 19 were ruled as arson.

Major Brewster, a native of South Carolina, heard about the Texas Revolution while traveling in Alabama; after traveling on to New Orleans, he was recruited for service in the Texas army by Lt. Meriwether Woodson Smith.
The flag was kept at the McKee residence "Hill of Howth" in Boligee, Alabama, for almost a century, until Gould's heirs transferred it to the possession of D.K.Caldwell of Tyler.
Caldwell's brother had married into the Gould family, and the family was pleased by the fact that the flag would finally be making its way back to Texas with him.

The letter was written by Henry John Caufield in Boligee, Alabama to William E. Young (father of Charlotte Pumphrey) who had moved from Greene County, Alabama to Robertson County, Texas.
In the upper right corner of the address side was written the number 10 (the amount of postage the receipient had to pay).
