Bombardier Aerospace is a division of the Bombardier group and the third largest commercial aircraft manufacturer in the world.
The aerospace division was launched with the acquisition of Canadair, at the time owned by the Government of Canada and a company that had recorded the then largest loss in history of any Canadian corporation.
In May 2005, Bombardier announced agreements with the Federal Government of Canada, the Provincial Government of Quebec and the Government of the United Kingdom of supports and loans for the C-Series project.
